Everhaus began evolving long before Paul Scholey knew where his past, present and future would take him.
Past
The combination of a career in the renewables sector and travelling throughout nations at the forefront of eco-building techniques piqued Paul’s interest in Passivhaus methodology.
Ecological housing projects in Germany, Scandinavia and Latvia inspired his first self-build project, a Passivhaus by the sea.
This experience taught Paul about the risks and benefits of eco-building and how it could work better for the self-builder, adapting and refining the process to make it quicker, cheaper, and less risky.

The discovery of light gauge steel, a construction material that can be designed and manufactured to precise specifications without suffering the effects of warping, shrinkage or weathering, changed the game. So much so that Paul developed a full Passivhaus build system around it. The result was unique to the UK, one system that could do everything. Hello Everhaus!
